Time for a first impression review of the Saucony Kinvara 7.

Saucony Kinvara 7
I’ve been running in the Saucony Kinvara series the past two years. I like shows with a small drop from heel to toe, yet with little cushioning under the foot.
For the last couple of weeks, I’ve been running around 150 kilometers in the Kinvara 7. And I think I now have a feel for what they have adjusted and changed since the Kinvara 6. And this is just the first impression. 150 km is, in my opinion, hardly enough to write a more detailed review. So that will come. This is merely the first (but important impression!)

The big news this year is Everun, built to provide better energy recovery from the stage.
Saucony Kinvara 7 Review
So the superfirst impression is that the Saucony Kinvara 7 feels a bit more like the Kinvara 4, and I think that’s positive!
Saucony Kinvara 7 is also wider than the Kinvara 6 shoes, which I appreciate. Especially if you take them out at longer distances because the foot tends to swell when you push far and hard (as we all do, right?). That’s about as charming as it sounds but it is nevertheless true.

Kinvara 7 – with my special tester
The shoe fits well on the foot (my foot, then, how it sits on your feet I do not know…), and I like their Flex Film as the shoes are built around. They are lightweight (218 g), and although it may not make much difference in the race for seconds, it’s always nice to run with lightweight shoes instead of two concrete lumps.
If I were to summarize the Saucony Kinvara 7 so far, it feels like a good and solid purchase. A little fine-tuning of Kinvara 6 in the positive direction and no missteps that make you want to throw the shoe far away and curl up in the fetal position and crying yourself to sleep.
A great, solid shoe that will take me the distance this year!
